These items will have a high value on NL, due to the fact that they can only be traded on NL, not be found. Trade for Ladder-only Uniques while it's still time. Here are some examples from the top of my head : upgraded Gore Riders for kicksins, upgraded ethereal Shaftstops for hirelings, upgraded Ribcrackers, upgraded Zakarums for smiters, upgraded Skins of the Vipermagi for casters, and many more. You will find all the Horadric Cube Formulae here. Upgrade your stuff to Elite ! It's a cheap and easy way to get high defense armor and high damage weapons. After the reset, you will get very nice offers for your NL Ladder-only stuff. If you have some HR's, there's no hesitation either : stick them in your best socketables and prepare some Ladder-only runewords (Infinity, Grief, Death, Phoenix, Dream.). Build and stockpile your own cheap Ladder-only runewords : Edge, Harmony, Insight, Lawbringer, Oath, Obedience, Rift, Spirit, Voice of Reason are all good candidates. If you're really in the hurry, make a public "FREE HERE NOW" game and you'll be surprised how fast this kind of game gets full :wink. A giveaway is a nice and smart way to get rid of your unused items. If you don't sort them somehow, you'll be overwhelmed, unless you have very few gear of course. Don't hesitate to get rid of if : a Ladder reset is like a huge wave of items deferling on your NL accounts. Some stuff that once was useful on Ladder is now pure crap for you on NL.
Muling is a wonderful thing, but items have a tendency to collect dust pretty fast, especially after a Ladder reset, if you plan to play mostly on Ladder. Get rid of the Ladder stuff you won't use on NL. Avoid "sqdpfogksdp" or "" that will be extremely boring to use for other traders (and for you !) in the long run. It may be silly, but if you trade a lot, you may want to have a mule account with an easy-to-remember and easy-to-type account name. Choose your mules account names, for the same reason as #1. If you're paranoid about someone else picking your favourite name before you, just create a random char now, with the chosen name (even on NL), and when the Ladder resets, delete it and recreate it immediatly on your new Ladder account. It's not always easy to find a nice character's name, but it's somehow easier if you know what kind of class/build it will be. Choose your next characters names and classes, for the same reason as #1. So it's quite important to choose a nice one, and not just "qdfgpqfgsfdg" :grin. Don't forget that you will be using this account name all the time, in-game, in the trading forum, etc. I sometimes spend a whole week to find a nice account name. Think about your next Ladder account name.
